View compareThe Art of Eco-Printing: A Labor of Love & Nature

Step 1: Weaving the Magic
It all starts with our incredible women weavers, who bring our fabrics to life on traditional handlooms.

Step 2: Washing with Nature’s Cleanser
Before we start printing, our fabrics go through a bath in soapnut (reetha)—a plant-based cleanser that’s gentle on both fabric and skin.

Step 3: A Touch of Ancient Wisdom
To help our fabrics absorb dyes better, we use myrobalan seeds, which we hand-forage, crush, and slow-cook for hours.

Step 4: Foraging Our Colors
Now comes the fun part—collecting the leaves! Every single day, we travel over 50 kms to forage exquisite leaves from the forest floor.

Step 5: Brewing Our Dye Potions
Once we’re back, we sort, dry, and slow-cook the flowers, peels, and plant waste for hours to extract their vibrant pigments.

Step 6: The Leaf & Dye Sandwich
The next day, we carefully lay out the foraged leaves on our handloom fabric, each one placed with purpose.

Step 7: Letting the Steam Work Its Magic
The fabric rolls are placed into a steamer for five hours, allowing the plant pigments to transfer onto the fabric.

Step 8: The Final Rinse & Reveal
After steaming, we let the bundles rest overnight before unwrapping them. The fabric is then washed three times in soapnut solution.
